Overview

Echo is an offline-first music player designed to play audio files stored locally on your device. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what data (if any) is collected and how it is used.

Data We Do NOT Collect

Echo does not collect, transmit, store, or share any personal data.

Specifically:

No analytics or tracking SDKs are included (Firebase Analytics is not active).
No crash reporting services are integrated.
No network requests are made by the app. The app has no internet-dependent functionality.
No user accounts are required or supported.
No advertising SDKs are included.
No location data is collected.
No personal information (name, email, phone number) is collected.

Data Stored on Device

The following data is stored locally on your device only and is never transmitted:

All locally stored data is deleted when you uninstall the app or clear app data.

Permissions

None of these permissions are used to collect or transmit data. All audio files remain on your device.

Third-Party Services

Echo does not use any third-party services, libraries, or SDKs that collect data.

Children’s Privacy

Echo is rated for Everyone and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The app does not require any personal information from anyone, including children.

Data Retention

On-device data (playback preferences, playlists, history) is retained until you uninstall the app or clear app data.
No data is retained by any third party.

Security

All data is stored in Android’s private app sandbox, accessible only to the Echo app on your device. Local app storage is encrypted by Android’s file-based encryption on supported devices.

Changes to This Policy

If this policy is updated, the revised version will be posted with an updated “Last updated” date. Continued use of the app constitutes acceptance of any changes.
